This two-day course is designed to give developers a thorough understanding of the Carmenta Engine toolkit. By combining important theory with plenty of practical exercises, it ensures that attendees leave the course fully ready to tackle real-world problems. It is, quite simply, the most cost-effective first step for any professional development team about to start using Carmenta Engine.
Who Should Attend
The course is primarily designed for software developers. Participants are not required to know anything about Carmenta Engine, or indeed about GIS programming.
The programming exercises use C# and the .NET Framework 2.0. Some previous experience in this environment will be useful, but it is not essential.

Get started with map configuration
This two-day course is designed to give map designers a thorough understanding of the Carmenta Engine map configuration. By combining important theory with plenty of practical exercises, it ensures that attendees leave the course fully ready to tackle real-world problems.
There are a number of important elements that need to come together to make a great map-enabled application. This is of course particularly true for complex systems like the ones in which Carmenta Engine is typically used.
This course teaches map designers to create attractive and usable maps using the Carmenta Engine toolkit. Our instructors are all experienced configurators who have used Carmenta Engine to build real-world applications, but who are also very familiar with the internal workings of the toolkit itself.
Who Should Attend
The course is primarily designed for map designers. Participants are not required to know anything about Carmenta Engine. No programming experience is required.

Get ready to launch your maps on the web
This two-day course is designed to give web site developers a thorough understanding of the Carmenta Server. By combining important theory with plenty of hands-on exercises, it ensures that attendees leave the course fully ready to create and launch web sites with state of the art map functionality.
This course teaches web site constructors to deploy attractive and usable maps by using the Carmenta Server with AJAX and Rich Web Client based interfaces. Our instructors are all experienced developers who have used Carmenta Server to build real-world applications, and who are also familiar with the internal workings of the toolkit itself.
Who Should Attend
The course is primarily designed for web site developers and designers, but also provides basics knowledge for administration tasks. A basic knowledge of Carmenta Engine comes in handy, but is not required. Some programming experience (e.g. C# and Visual Studio) is also preferred.

General Terms – Course
Pricing information
The fee for scheduled courses always includes course documentation, lunch and refreshments during the day. The course fee is charged 14 days prior to the course start and the payment terms are 30 days.
Cancellation policy
There is no cancellation fee if notification is received 15 days prior to the first day of instruction. Cancellations without notice or less than 15 days prior to the first day of instruction are responsible for full tuition and the student may attend a future class at no charge within 12 months.
Locations
The courses are normally held at Carmenta’s facilities in Stockholm or Göteborg. If required we can hold either course at your business premises.
Reservations
Carmenta reserves the right to cancel a course if necessary, up to 15 days prior to the first day of instruction.
