Organising, updating and publishing GIS data
The Carmenta Geodata Organiser is a comprehensive solution for searching, collecting, organising, updating and publishing information about GIS data and services.
It contains all the necessary tools for extracting metadata from various sources and creating a systematic catalogue, thereby providing a complete overview of an organisation’s geodata resources and enabling users to easily search for and locate useful services or datasets.
In addition, users can publish metadata for any GIS service and dataset with our Geodata Organiser, as it uses ISO standard metadata models and has certified Open Geospatial Consortium Inc. (OGC) interfaces.

GIS Web Portals
The Carmenta Geodata Organiser comes with a configurable GIS portal user interface for listing resources and carrying out efficient searches based on metadata content. These search results can then be filtered and sorted in a number of different ways. There is also an interactive preview function, when browsing geospatial web services published in the portal, that enables users to examine the appearance and quality of the data.
Geodata is a valuable asset, and one that is often overlooked. This is mainly due to the lack of a simple index or convenient way to access to the data, and frequently results in unnecessary re-survey work to collect GIS data that is already in the system. The Carmenta Geodata Organiser provides all the necessary tools for keeping track of your geodata assets and accessing them in a searchable manner. It also includes a browser-based metadata editor for adding and/or editing metadata documents and records.
